I was mowing my yard this evening, and saw something moving out of the corner of my eye. I looked over and there was this bird that was kind of trying to hop away from the mower. I ran inside quick to grab my camera and was able to get super close to him to take pictures. In fact, I was too close for my 50mm lens in a couple pictures. Pretty much straight out of camera (SOOC) again, just a bit of noise reduction since I had to have a higher ISO due to the fading sunlight.
I am looking to get some pictures printed to sell and such, but I don’t know the best place to do so. I need good quality but for decently cheap. Anyone have any recommendations?
I had a ton to do tonight, but the light was just so perfect that I couldn’t resist taking a picture or two. This was such a random idea, I just got back from running an errand and ran in to my house, grabbed my wood guy, and took some pictures. Straight out of camera as well today. Two days in a row, this is crazy for me. I may post a few more this weekend or when I have slightly more free time.
Also, I am aware the title is super lame, but again, I am rushing to get this done so I can finish my sculpture by tomorrow’s critique.
Elliot and I went to the Red River Gorge today to hike around for a little. It was such a nice break from Lexington and the routine I had going. This was straight out of camera, just converted to jpg from raw. I may go back and edit it later, but it is late and I have class at 8.
Yesterday was an exhausting day. I was in studio from 11-7:30, then played volleyball for 3 hours, then went back to studio for an hour, and then played basketball for an hour or so. So needless to say I didn’t get around to posting a picture. But, I did take this yesterday. It had poured the night before and so there were water drops and everything. I did a little bit of reverse lens action to get this one. More to come most likely!
I have been fairly stressed and anxious about the future and things like that lately. I know that I shouldn’t be, because my future is in the hands of the Creator. But it is so hard to completely give up that control. I hadn’t used textures in a while, but decided that it would be appropriate for this picture to give a sense of nostalgia.
I decided to be brave and use my flash today so I could get some high-speed stuff. I usually am not a fan of flash for two reasons. A) I am not very good with it, and B) a lot of times it is obvious flash was used and I love how natural light looks. But, I decided to give it a try, and I managed to get something good out of it (in my opinion at least)! Plus I finally figured a few things out which will help so much in future shoots.
I had busted this glass a couple of weeks ago but saved it in hopes of being able to use it for a picture. So I am pumped I found a use for it. And being the photo nerd I am, I am still saving it to use it again, pieces and all.
