This was such a last-minute idea, yet these are my favorite pictures that I have ever taken of myself. I had the hardest time choosing, so there will most likely be another post with the others that I loved.
Basically straight out of the camera too, just some basic and minimal editing.
I usually won’t make an entirely new post if I re-edit a picture. But, I liked this in black and white so much better that I am “officially” considering it the weeks shot instead of the color one. I got so caught up in how I was editing it before that I didn’t even consider black and white, but a Flickr contact suggested it, so here I am.
Not the image that I wanted for this week, but plan after plan fell through and I thought of this very last-minute (clearly). However, this one is fairly fitting with my life at the moment. My shots have been getting a lot more personal and meaningful as of late.
I sat and edited this shot in countless ways for hour and hours today. I am still not completely happy with it, but I decided I just needed to let it be.
Hopefully next week I will be able to do the image that I have had in my head for a bit.
Well I am back to tackling my 52 week project. It was put on hold while I focused on my 365, but I am now going to get back to a one a week track. I have decided my new week starts on Mondays, because I will only be doing my pictures on the weekends due to student teaching. I have also decided to keep explanations to a minimum from now on, if there is any explanation at all. If you are curious about a picture feel free to ask, and I will respond, but in general I will be keeping my posts short and simple from here on out.
I debated for so long if I should upload this. I don’t like it all that much, and it is not at all what I had in my head, but I decided that I want to start getting through this 52 week project, and that it is alright for me to not be in love with every picture I take; just like my 365. So, here is “week” 36.
I took this self-portrait while I was home in MN for thanksgiving break, and just now got around to editing it. My original idea failed, partly because I was losing daylight fast, and because I completely forgot to take a picture that would have been necessary for the idea. So, next time I am home (in just about a week!!) I will try again.
It has been such a long time since I have done a 52 week shot. I took this on the same day that Whitney and I went on out shoot (it took me a while to get around to editing it). After such a failed attempt at Raven Run (where I wanted to do my self-portrait) we just went to my backyard where I decided to do a simple head shot.
