60/366 – Reading

I had such an incredibly long day at work today, most of which was spent trying to console a miserably sick 18 month old. And I am not feeling so great myself, so this was all I could bring myself to do for my picture today.

And now I’m going to go curl up and dive in to this book.

It’s Here!

This has been the one bright spot of my week, my book arrived! I ordered just one to make sure it all looked alright, and I must say, I love it. I am so happy with how it turned out. So, books are officially now on sale! I am doing a limited edition of 15, and 5 are gone already, so act fast! Just comment on this (or if you have any other means of contacting me) to let me know if you are interested. Softcover books are $35 (which is what this one is).

If you would like to see a few of the images, I can post the links for the few I uploaded as well.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped me on this project. And thank you to everyone who supports me. I have some amazing people in my life.

**Still catching up..

Sunday, 9-12

My sister gave this book to me a while back as a birthday present. It has become my “water-color pencil” book essentially because that is all I use in it. The paper is just so perfect for water-color pencils.

32/365 – Untitled

Well I decided to post one more from my project, which I will finally go ahead and describe a little.

My project for my studio this summer was a self-portrait project (for those who did not know). The project was focusing on growing up and gaining independence and such. It is a series of self-portraits, that go in a progression from essentially childhood to after college (this image posted here is actually the final image in the series). I am currently in the process of laying out a book for the project, and plan on selling this book once I get it all finished. If interested in purchasing be sure to let me know, it will be a limited edition type of thing so there won’t be many copies available. Or if you would like more information feel free to ask!

200/365 – Reading

Still behind, of course.

I am taking the History of Jazz right now, and we had to choose something related to jazz to research, do a presentation, and write a paper on. I chose to research Nina Simone and have been reading a 400 page book about her life for the past few days (I started reading it Monday I believe, and was skimming like crazy to finish it). Wednesday night I was up super later reading, trying to finish so I could put together my Powerpoint, and I realized I hadn’t taken a picture yet. So I dropped my book on the floor of Elliot’s apartment (where I was reading) and took a few pictures.
