I had a much different idea planned for today, but by the time I had a chance it was a bit too dark out. So I resorted to this instead. It is fitting though since we had such a frigid day here in Minnesota. Next time the temperature drops below zero though I will be out there experimenting with my original idea.
*Saturday, August 6 – Stillwater, MN
Saturday afternoon I got together with a good friend for lunch. We grabbed some food from the River Market Co-Op (which has really great organic and natural food). I saw this drink there (called Mamma Chia), and thought it looked so strange; I just had to try it. It was actually pretty good. It had a bit of a strange sensation when the slimy seeds hit my mouth though. I don’t even know how to explain it other than bizarre. But I may have become obsessed with it, I already want another bottle.
Well, not every shot of this 365 can be great I guess. Tonight I chose to be social and have a great night with friends rather than make a great image. My friend had a gig at the Boathouse, which is such a cool little spot I wish I would have known about before. We were hanging out tonight until close to 3:00 am. And when I got home, I decided I really didn’t want to miss a day so I should edit at 3:00am, when I just want to go to bed. I am sure I will look at my editing job tomorrow and be confused as to what I was thinking.

Today has been insanely busy, and I totally forgot/didn’t have time to take a picture until just now, at 1 am. I am currently writing a paper that is due tomorrow, and will be working on it for a while still, so this is all I could manage for a picture today. Lame, yes, but it is a real documentation of my life tonight.
I am not much of a soda drinker (yes, I am a northerner and I say “soda”), but I absolutely love Jones Soda, and every once in a while (like once a year) I buy some. I bought some last night, and while I was driving this evening I got the image of the bottle on Elliot’s deck railing. I drove home from dropping off some photographs for a contest, grabbed my camera, and raced the setting sun to Elliot’s apartment so I could get me shot.
