Miscellaneous Adventures

I have a few random images from the past few weeks that I finally got around to editing. They are all from different days, but don’t really deserve a post to themselves, so I’m going to throw them all together here.

This first one is from yet another hike in the Konza Prairie back at the beginning of April. I stumbled on this area where half the prairie was burned, and half was not, and I just loved the stark contrast of the two areas.

Spring has finally arrived in Manhattan, and the trees in my apartment complex were all blooming. I cut some branches off to put in vases in my apartment and ended up with some in almost every room. I have a few more images that I will be posting later on of the larger vase as well.

A week ago or so I ended up going on a spontaneous sunset chase with a good friend. He has lived in Manhattan for quite a while and took me to some new spots. We ended up finding this random, perfect hill that we climbed to the top of to see this incredible view. It was perfect, absolutely perfect.

76/365 – Color

I wanted to spread the Analogue Sunrise love while I was home in Stillwater, so this morning while walking around downtown I stuck a sticker on a fence by the river quick and got a few pictures.

This was a pretty quick, sloppy edit because it is late and I need to get some sleep for my 13 hour drive back to Kentucky in the morning.

180/365 – Juxtaposition

This is from a self-portrait shoot I went on yesterday. Those pictures will be posted eventually, when I find time.

I really liked the contrast between the barbed wire and the teddy bear. I had one where the teddy bear was in focus, but for some reason I was really drawn to this one.

I now have a Facebook page for my photography! Become a fan at Abigail Thompson Photography!

165/365 – Barbed

I went to take pictures for my independent studio project this evening. Mitch (from a 365 a while ago) and I went out driving in search of a location, and had quite the little adventure. I love that these adventures; finding cool new spots is always great, but the journey to find them is almost more fun.

We were out by a bunch of farms, and most of them have barbed wire fences, and I have always wanted a good picture of one, so I decided to make it my 365 for the day.
