I finally having something a bit different for my 366. This is probably one of my favorite types of image to edit, so I’m glad I finally made time for it again.
A title is eluding me though, so suggestions are appreciated.
Fall just kind of fell on us here in Kentucky. There was certainly no easing in to it; 100 degrees, sunny, and humid one day, and 60 degrees and rainy the next. We have had three straight days of darkness, cool temperatures, and rain. I kind of enjoy it though because it means I get to wear my favorite pair of shoes (well, boots), and drink lots of tea.
Yesterday afternoon I watched the movie “The Science of Sleep” (which is such a great movie I might add), and was inspired by so many things in the movie. Immediately after watching it I got this image stuck in my head, and despite having other ideas for my self-portrait this week, this image just would not go away. It was the most vivid idea for a picture I have ever had, and the most persistent. And it turned out almost exactly how it was in my head.
And, I left the clouds hanging above my bed, it is wonderful.
This jar has been sitting on top of the kitchen cabinets at my parent’s house since before I can remember, but I just noticed it the other day. I knew I had to take a picture with it, and actually had a self-portrait idea in mind. I took some self-portraits with it tonight, but they didn’t work out so well I don’t think, but I have yet to go though them so we will see.

Well, still catching up, this one is from Wednesday (7-7). I “stole” this jar from Elliot’s work. I spotted it while visiting Elliot and decided I had to have it. One of his coworkers was keeping all the extra computer screws in it, so I poured them in a plastic cup and took the jar. I love it! I also loved a ton of pictures from this series, so I may upload a few more even though they will probably be repetitive.
Also, I feel like the title makes no sense. But I thought of it for another one of this series and couldn’t get it out of my head, and couldn’t seem to think of anything else. So it stuck.
I have been wanting to do a bubble picture for the longest time, and finally had a chance to tonight. Pretty much straight out of camera, partly because I don’t have time to do any work on it, and partly because I love it like this.
Tons more to come from this shoot most likely. But it may take a while.
