46/52 – Smoke and Mirrors

This weekend I went on a mini spring break trip to Gatlinburg, TN with a group of some great friends. I had wanted smoke bombs for pictures for a long time, and since I was in TN I just had to buy some. This is not anywhere near my original idea, but I kind of love how it turned out.

Big, big thanks to all the helpers I had for this picture! I couldn’t have done it without you guys!

353/365 – Grand Garage

Today was a perfect last day in Stillwater. Lunch with Kelley and Blair, then taking pictures downtown Stillwater with my good friend Alec, and drinking coffee and catching up with Alec and two other good friends, Hannah and Anders. It couldn’t have been a better night. And downtown Stillwater is beautiful.

Oh, and much much thanks to Alec for helping me find places to take pictures, and essentially acting as my creative director!!!

Now to go to bed so that I can get up and drive 13 hours back to Lexington.

351/365 – Piles

Last night I got to hang out with my two most wonderful girl friends for the first time in a year. Kelley, Blair, and I were finally all in Stillwater at the same time, and so we managed to get together to catch up and watch a movie. And it was beyond wonderful. I missed those girls so much. And if you are reading this, I love you both!!

Anyways, (sorry for that personal stuff there), by the time the movie was over it was late, I was exhausted, and I didn’t have a picture. I was planning on just heading home and finding something in my house, but as I was walking out I saw the pot with the pine and lights, and the snow piled on top of it all. Snow on top of Christmas lights is always one of the most beautiful things to me, so I decided to take a few pictures before walking to my car.

236/365 – Jenga!

Last night some friends and I had game night (which is why I didn’t get a chance to upload); it was such a blast, and was much needed. Here was the first game of the night (which I didn’t actually play since I was failing miserably at Connect Four at the time).

214/365 – Childhood Returned

This is such a great example of why I love my MN friends so much. A small group of us got together to play volleyball at the park, like we often do, but when people didn’t show, Charlie pulled a slip ‘n slide out of his trunk along with a hose. They got it set up and started sliding around without hesitation. Since I just had surgery I just had to watch and take pictures, which I was completely content with.

210/365 – Volleyball

**Still catching up, but I am almost done I promise.

Saturday, August 7. I got to see a couple of my high school friends! I hadn’t seen them in 8 months, and so it was wonderful. For the past couple of summers we have played volleyball on a weekly basis, and this summer since I stayed in Kentucky I have missed out. Luckily we had just enough people to play so that I could get a couple of games in before surgery on Monday.
