268/366 – The warmth of being cool

*Thursday, October 9
There is something about the late evening light on those cool fall days that just makes me smile and feel warm despite the cold.

I was busy packing and cleaning up my apartment and noticed the light in my window and had to grab some shots. Straight out of the camera as well.

150/366 – Alyssa + Dan

Today my wonderful cousin got married to an equally wonderful man. And I had the privilege of shooting the wedding. It was such a beautiful day, and it is so obvious just from looking at them that these two absolutely adore each other. I haven’t gone through all of the pictures yet, but while browsing through them all very quickly this one stood out to me.

327/365 – Mystery

**Friday, December 2

It snowed yesterday!! Snow is quite possibly my favorite thing ever. I don’t think I could survive a winter without it. I could just sit and watch it snow and do nothing else and be perfectly content. I felt like a silly little girl while walking to class in it because I couldn’t stop smiling. There is just something about snow that immediately makes me smile, calms me down, and makes me incredible joyful. There is nothing else like it that has the same effect on me. Naturally when it snows I have a hard time putting down my camera, and so yesterday I asked Whitney if she would model for me out in the snow. I wasn’t quite successful at showing just how much it was snowing, but I am still very happy with a lot of the pictures I took.

22/52 – Letting go of the world

This was from a week or so ago, and was taken after talking to my professor at some length about my project. We decided I just needed to get out and shoot like crazy without worrying about lighting or poses or anything, just shoot. I also kind of decided I wanted to try to stick to entirely perspective/leading shots, but we will see if that sticks.

And the bear. I am going to include one of each from now on, in the same post to keep things simple.
