A few weeks ago I drove from Kansas to Lexington, Kentucky to shoot the beautiful wedding of Darren and Mary. When I was in Lexington going to school for my undergrad I worked with Darren, and I was so excited when they asked me to be a part of their big day. The wedding took place on a beautiful summer afternoon, and was probably the most laid back wedding I have shot yet. It was so very obvious that these two are completely in love with each other and it was such a joy to be there to capture it. So, without further ado, meet Mr. and Mrs. Henderson!

This past week has been a blur, and a bit of an emotional roller coaster. I am finally going to try to get caught up, though I didn’t take a photograph every day so I will have to make up for it at some point I guess.

Thursday I was in Lexington waiting for my fiance to finish school so we could head up to Cincinnati for SPE. It was beautiful out so I decided to venture to the place that I used as my little sanctuary and retreat while I lived there.
This isn’t very typical me, but I was drawn to it (after editing it over the course of 3 days). I am still sort of torn on if I like it or not though.

I unfortunately forgot my camera in the rush to get ready though, so I didn’t get any pictures. And the rest of the day was spent napping and meeting with friends for dinner, so I was stuck with this instagram picture yet again.

Sunday was another crazy busy day. My fiance and I went on a mini road trip in the morning, and then he graduated Sunday evening. All I had a chance for was a quick instagram photo while on the road.
I wanted to do a self-portrait, but just wanted something simple and casual for today.
My boyfriend surprised me with this sweatshirt when I picked him up from the airport last Monday. I had casually texted him two days before that I thought it was hilarious, and then he showed up wearing it. He is seriously the best.
I have been using my Holga (which is a cheap, plastic, toy film camera) a lot more recently, and though I have uploaded pictures to Flickr I haven’t shared any here. So I thought I would create a quick post … Continue reading →
I went on a much needed photo adventure with a friend tonight, and we stumbled on some horses while driving the back roads. This one had flies all over his face, yet the other three that were with him all had the mesh masks on. He was extremely friendly though, and came right up to us for some pictures.
