There is absolutely nothing great about this image. But for some reason while flipping through all of the images that I took today this one kept popping out at me.

An extremely long day at work results in an extremely boring image…

81/366 – Light

I showed a friend some new spots around downtown Stillwater this afternoon. This was taken in the Lowell Inn, which has some really awesome light fixtures (among other things).

45/52 – Alone

I have had this image in my head for ages, maybe since I saw this awesome light in my friend’s room even. Thank you Dave for letting me rearrange your room for my picture.

I may potentially post a few others at some point, I had a tough time deciding.

Friday, August 6. As I mentioned before, on Friday I drove from Lexington to Minnesota. I got home around 10:00pm, and had been in the car since 10:00am, and so I didn’t have much time for pictures. Right before I went to bed I took this, in my bedroom here in MN.

169/365 – Luxury

This was a weekend full of firsts for me: first product shoot, first time in Bowling Green, KY, first engagement shoot, first time staying in a hotel alone, and first time sleeping in a king sized bed. It was crazy.

On Friday I shot some silk scarves and a shirt that are made by a woman here in KY. I wont be able to post the pictures from the product shoot because they were on Andrew Kung’s (the photographer I have done the Churchill shoots with, and am interning with this fall) camera. However, it was such a great learning experience, and I was pretty happy with the pictures I took (we will see how she liked them soon).

On Saturday I drove to Bowling Green with Drew, and shot my first engagement shoot with him. I will be posting those pictures soon. Drew got me a hotel room  there, and I had a king sized bed all to my self. It was both awesome and crazy. I still slept curled up in a tiny little ball despite all the room in the bed, I was entertained by it, and felt kind of silly. When I was getting ready for bed I noticed how wonderful my white computer looked on the white sheets with the yellow cast from the only light on, and so I took this picture.

I have some more extremely big news tomorrow, but I want to post the picture with the news, and I need to get a few things worked out before then.

40/365 – Late Nights

I was driving home from class tonight and this idea popped into my head. I have a test tomorrow so I will be studying a bit tonight, as well as a bunch of other homework. It was kind of a rushed shot and processing job, but it didn’t turn out too terrible in my opinion.

28/365 – Light

This shot is really from yesterday (2-5-10), but I just didn’t get around to uploading it. I was in my ceramics studio for 6.5 hours yesterday (and still didn’t finish a single piece) and was beyond exhausted when I left. I didn’t want to skip a day though, so while I was making a quick dinner for myself at my boyfriend’s house I looked around and took a few pictures. This is what I ended up with, pretty lame and not exciting at all. But at least I took one right? I hope the rest of you are having more of a weekend than I am!
