Father’s Day Craft

This summer I have been working as a nanny for three precious kiddos. I wanted to have them make something for father’s day (this post is quite late, I know) that would be something at least slightly useful, as well as meaningful to their dad. He works at a nursery, so after much thought I decided to have them decorate some planters. I found a white, triple herb planter at Target, and then bought some permanent markers and let the kids loose! I helped them plant some red petunias once they were done drawing, and then after they watered the plants we sat back and admired their work (for 5 seconds before something else caught their attention).

102/366 – A day in the life of a nanny

I figured when all else fails, a double exposure will look interesting.

The older boy I nanny for was at school this morning, so the younger one and I had a nice quiet morning playing with play-doh. Normally when I am taking pictures he tries to jump in front of the camera and yells “cheese” but today he was so involved in his work that he was oblivious to me. I loved it.

73/366 – Handprint

My internet became nonexistent when I went to upload my picture last night, and I was too exhausted to try to get it working, so here is yesterday’s picture.

I nanny for a 4 year old and 18 month old, so of course handprints are all over anything glass. The morning light was hitting this one and it caught my eye so I snapped of a few pictures while I waited for the boys to wake up.
