29/365 – Lanterns

I hadn’t done any shots at night for quite a while (not once this project in fact) and had been craving one for some time now so I thought I would try using these lights for my picture tonight. I sort of wish that I would have started slightly earlier so that it was just a tiny bit brighter outside, but, over all I am really happy with how this turned out. Plus, it is completely straight out of the camera other than conversion to jpg and the addition of my logo! I love when that happens! And it also may have inspired a few other images using lights, which is exciting.

Please remember to go vote for my portfolio and tell everyone that you know! You can vote once a day. I so appreciate each and every vote I can get, thank you for the support!

Winter in Minne-snow-ta

Well, I took lots of pictures when I was home. And I liked a lot of them. And I am sitting on my couch with the windows open because it is 61 degrees out, and so I thought what better time to post pictures? So here you go, enjoy a quick view into my stay in the frozen tundra for break.

Similar, but I liked the slightly different composition.

Happy New Years Eve!!

307/365 – Crowned

I am aware that this is not original, and that I have done something very similar before. But, I was really craving some high-speed stuff, and I had been wanting to try for a bigger splash than I have been able to get before, so I figured I would give it a shot. I was losing daylight fast, and I needed a faster shutter speed, but didn’t want to lose depth of field, and didn’t want to way under expose them, and my ISO was already very high, so this is what I ended up with. Which, I wish I could have had a larger depth of field as well, but, oh well.

Oh, and the title is because one of the pictures looked like a crown, and that title was stuck in my head, and I couldn’t think of anything else, so it just stuck.

281/365 – Fall Leaves and Blue Jeans

**Catching up..

Sunday, October 17

My poor roommate, Whitney, gets roped into being my model quite often. Luckily she doesn’t seem to mind. Elliot was on his way to pick me up for dinner with his mom, aunt, and cousin, and so I asked Whitney if she would let me take pictures of her feet. I really love how this one turned out, the blue jeans with the orange of the leaves is just perfect.

269/365 – SmashBurger

I think this is the earliest I have ever posted my 365! I went to lunch at SmashBurger with Elliot today. We had never been there before, so it was a nice little change. And man, their fries were by far the best I have ever had. They were seasoned with rosemary, olive oil, garlic, and sea salt; delicious I tell you. Plus it is beautiful out and we got to eat outside, making it all even better.

217/365 – Metal Sculpture

This afternoon my family and I went to the Franconia Sculpture Garden for just a quick little outing. It is such an incredibly cool place, I must say. There are paths going everywhere, with all sorts of sculptures, ranging from massive to more reasonable sizes. They have work by artists from all over the world; from Taiwan to Ireland to many different states here in the US. They also have the coolest amphitheater I have ever seen. It is a huge area with these mounds of grass with big rock slabs jutting out of them for benches. This place also has lots of events going on; concerts every other week during the summer, iron pours, workshops with kids. It is such an impressive and cool place to visit.

I will be uploading a few others from the day later on, but I am exhausted from walking around all day, and my knee is hating me and swelling up to show it, so I need to get some sleep.

101/365 – Sweet Tea

Today was just an absolutely miserable day, for such a long list of reasons that I wont get into. This was the only bright spot of my day, I had made some sweet tea in between classes and had a glass full that wouldn’t fit in the pitcher, so I poured it in a glass and decided to throw ice in it since Elliot found my remote for me. I like a ton of them, so expect to see more.
