50/365 – Refreshing Colors

When trying to decide what to take a picture of each day I generally look back at the things I have done recently so that I can keep things varied and keep pushing myself in all directions. I know I just did a flower photograph the other day, but I decided that there wasn’t enough bright colors in my work lately, so I wanted to change that.

Please remember to go vote for my portfolio and tell everyone that you know! You can vote once a day. I so appreciate each and every vote I can get, thank you for the support!

356/365 – Orchids

Well, last night Elliot, my roommate Elizabeth, and I went over to Elliot’s brother’s house to celebrate new years eve. It was a very chill night, just some N64 and Super Mario Kart playing. 3:00 am rolled around and I didn’t have a picture, so I sat looking around the living room, and my eye fell on the beautiful orchids Aleece has. We didn’t get home until after 4:00 hence the just now uploading.

Happy New Year!

158/365 – Pink and Green

I am completely blanking on the name of this plant right now, and it is driving me crazy.

I don’t know if it is because I am sick, or because I had to return my new favorite lens, or what it is, but I just had no desire or motivation to take a picture today. I fell asleep for 2 hours after a quick photo shoot and then didn’t want to move. Being sick in the summer is terrible.

Another reverse lens picture, because when all else fails, extreme depth of field usually provides an “interesting” picture.

103/365 – Mixed Media

So, I have to confess. This is from yesterday. I am physically, mentally, and emotionally drained right now and was stretching myself to even upload a picture today let alone take one. Plus I was working on this project every spare second I had since crit was tonight. SOOC except for a conversion from raw.

98/365 – Picked

So, the University of Kentucky campus in the spring is beautiful. There are tulips everywhere, which are one of my favorite flowers. A year ago, not long after I had met Elliot, we went late one night and picked a ton of tulips (I had around 4 large vases full), and it was one of the best nights I have ever had. So this year, we went to do it again (just last night). I didn’t pick nearly as many (just two drinking glasses worth), but it was still an absolutely wonderful night. And, because he knows me so well, he set one on his desk and turned on his very bright desk light and told me I now had lighting. So I took a crazy amount of pictures, which will be posted later (I really have some serious catching up to do on that).

(Sorry for all the side notes and parenthesis).
