349/366 – Journey

*Thursday, January 10

Thursday morning I packed up, and headed out for Kansas. There is no great, direct way from South Dakota to Kansas, and so I ended up taking back road highways the entire 12 hours. It was an interesting drive to say the least, but at least it was beautiful.

344/366 – Wind

*Saturday, January 5

Saturday I morning I packed up my car and headed out to my brother’s house on the far side of South Dakota. It was incredibly windy, making driving in some parts quite difficult. It was such a bizarre sensation driving through these patches of blowing snow; it felt like I was floating on top of a cloud.

169/366 – Drive

*Friday, October 10
Yesterday I drove from Kansas to Kentucky. I left when it was still dark and saw the sun come up. There were so many times that I wanted to stop and take some photographs, but I was determined to get to KY asap so that I could see my fiance and so stopping was not an option.
Both images were taken with my phone. The left was in Kansas, and the right in Indiana.

122/366 – Road Trip #2

*Monday, May 7
On Monday, Chris and I woke up extremely early and drove first to Missouri to see his grandparents, and then to Kansas to visit my new school and look for apartments. It was a 15 hour trip, so once again all I managed was a shot from my phone as we drove. This one was right before we got in to Manhattan, Kansas. Needless to say it made me even more excited to move there.

68/365 – Nebraska

*Friday, August 5 – Nebraska

Friday morning we all got up and packed up the tents and such and headed out. We drove straight through (almost 17 hours), which got us home after 2:00am. Because of that I didn’t have many options for a picture (especially since I drove for a good chunk of the day). I figured it would be appropriate if I took a picture of a field and the open sky, since that is pretty much all we saw that day.
