30/52 – Untitled

This was from my studio project that I recently wrapped up. I decided I will not be using most of them for my 52 week shots, just this one and one of my other favorites. Then I have one more that I took since I have been in MN and  I will be all caught up on my 52 week pictures!

204/365 – Country Driveway

**Still playing catch up…

This was from Sunday, 8-1. I was pretty frustrated because I was trying to find a location to shoot for my studio project, but couldn’t find what what I was looking for. And it was getting dark so I didn’t have much time.

196/365 – Keenland

I didn’t get a chance to upload yesterday, so here is my 365 from last night. I went to Keenland (the racetrack here in Lexington) to try for some self portraits, and was able to get some lovely lens flare and golden hour pictures. Not all that exciting, but I enjoy looking at it so that says something right?

24/52 v2 – Breaking Away

This was taken on the same day as the last one (24). It would be towards the end of my self-portrait series that I am doing for class at the moment. I don’t knew the best way to deal with these pictures since on most shoots I shot at 2-3 locations, with different meanings for each. I was thinking about just using them for different “weeks” of my 52 week project, but decided that was cheating, so I think I will just list them as different versions of the same week (hence v2).

24/52 – Reflection

Another self-portrait. I have been trying to crank them out lately, for my studio project. Unfortunately I still don’t exactly know how to achieve what I have in my head.

I have decided that the bear is no more though.

22/52 – Letting go of the world

This was from a week or so ago, and was taken after talking to my professor at some length about my project. We decided I just needed to get out and shoot like crazy without worrying about lighting or poses or anything, just shoot. I also kind of decided I wanted to try to stick to entirely perspective/leading shots, but we will see if that sticks.

And the bear. I am going to include one of each from now on, in the same post to keep things simple.

174/365 – Reynolds Building

Still playing catch up. I’m going to go ahead and post 3 pictures from Thursday, because I like them all and I don’t want to overload everyone with so many posts.

This is Thursday’s (7-1) picture. I was walking home from work snapping some pictures on the way home. This is my studio building (the Reynolds Building). I really have been pushing and playing with depth of field lately, and I love it.

This is also from my walk back from work, and also part of the Reynolds Building.

After work on Thursday I went to hang out with Manuel. We went out driving trying to find a spot he knew about that would be cool for pictures. After driving for an hour and a half we hadn’t found it, and the sun was starting to set. But I did manage to get this picture while we were trying to figure out which way to go. It isn’t the sharpest but I still like it.

19/52 – Stuck

Well the title is mostly because I was stuck on a title, but it also kind of fits the picture I think.

This is a picture that is for my independent studio project. It will be a series of self portraits. They are technically a progression so I guess this shouldn’t be posted until the end, but oh well. I really liked a few from this shoot so I will post a few more. I just wish the strobe would have worked the entire time.
