Darren + Mary

A few weeks ago I drove from Kansas to Lexington, Kentucky to shoot the beautiful wedding of Darren and Mary. When I was in Lexington going to school for my undergrad I worked with Darren, and I was so excited when they asked me to be a part of their big day. The wedding took place on a beautiful summer afternoon, and was probably the most laid back wedding I have shot yet. It was so very obvious that these two are completely in love with each other and it was such a joy to be there to capture it. So, without further ado, meet Mr. and Mrs. Henderson!

311/365 – Rain Boots!

I have been wanting rain boots since freshman year. I ordered some then, but Target didn’t have them in stock, and after nearly 4 months and still no boots I just cancelled my order. Since then I never took the time to go get some, and didn’t really see any I loved. Today, it was raining all day and I just decided that I needed some rain boots. I was sick of having wet feet any time it rained. I went to DSW with Elliot, and stumbled on these beauties! I was so excited! They are so different from most rain boots I see around campus (which is what I wanted) and they are so soft and warm on the inside! And, they look like something I would doodle in class almost, so they were just perfect! But, of course, as soon as we got outside it was sunny out.

125/365 – Plaster Covered

In my summer class today we had to mix and pour 200 pounds of plaster into big cardboard boxes. It was crazy exhausting work. Then some people’s boxes busted open, spilling the plaster everywhere. Me and Susannah (who the eye picture is of) rushed to help one of the guys who had that problem, and got splattered with plaster as a result. We decided we needed a picture together, which is the first somehow (despite knowing each other for 4 years). And yet it is just of our dirty feet, how nice.
